Schools & Courses Taught
I graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with a bachelors degree in mathematics, a masters degree in mathematics, a masters degree in education, and teaching credentials in mathematics, science and physical education.
I married the love of my life in 2010, who is also a Santa Cruz born teacher. We moved to Ecuador and lived in the capital city of Quito for two years to teach our respective subjects in English at an international school. We gave birth to my first daughter in Quito (she has three nationalities!). We then packed our bags and moved to Lugano, Switzerland to teach at an international school there. My second daughter was born during our year in Switzerland.
After three years abroad, my family and I moved back to Santa Cruz. Since then I have enjoyed teaching middle school and high school math and science at Mount Madonna School, which is a wonderful private school located in the hills above Watsonville. I have also enjoyed teaching college mathematics courses at both Cabrillo College and Monterey Peninsula College.
This year I begin working at what I hope will be a long tenure at Mountain View High School, teaching algebra and geometry.
